Make sure the end of your hose is pointed somewhere with good drainage so you don't flood your yard or pool equipment. Turn on system manually, timers may vary on how to do so this video is for an intermatic timer, open up hose bib/faucet and pool water should drain out the end of the hose. Make sure to always set timer so you don't drain too much of pool. When water is finished draining close hose bib/faucet and shut off system manually.
